World Thinking Day - Compassion Meditation and Yoga
In Girl Scouts, you are part of a special group of girls that stretches across the world. On February 22 of each year, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from 150 countries celebrate World Thinking Day -- that’s one big celebration!
World Thinking Day is a way to celebrate with girls all over the world by doing the same activities around a shared theme. The 2021 World Thinking Day theme is “Peacebuilding.”
This program provides an opportunity for Girl Scouts of all ages to complete Step 3 of the World Thinking Day Award activities for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. Step 3: Explore Peacebuilding in Girl Scouts, Choice 1: Practice compassion meditation. A professional yoga teacher will lead girls through beginner yoga and meditation.
Girl Scouts of all ages are invited to participate, however the program is designed for girls in 4th grade and up.
