Why Should We Plant Native?

Wed Apr 14, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Public Events
Seniors, Ambassadors, Adults

Most people have heard that they should plant native. And if someone were asked why, they would probably respond, “Because it’s good for the environment.”

However, that answer doesn’t expand on the role native plants play in supporting complex natural systems---because it’s much more than that! Come learn about ecosystems, all the advantages native plants have, and the damage invasive species wreak. Note: This presentation will include an electronic pre- and post-survey.

This presentation is part of a Girl Scout Gold Award on making the world more bird-friendly. This event is being hosted by the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies with three Ambassador Girl Scouts as guest speakers. Come join us to learn about helping birds!

This event is free and will take place over Zoom.
