Strengthen your outdoor skills and ignite your passion for environmental stewardship at the 2019 Older Girl Outdoor Journey Weekend at Colorado National Monument (Saddlehorn Campground) on Saturday, June 1- Sunday, June 2, 2019. Girls will complete Outdoor Journey components through a weekend full of incredible activities. The Cadette requirements for the Outdoor Journey are to earn the Night Owl badge, Trailblazing badge, and Primitive Camper badge. Girls should plan to complete their Take Action project on their own outside of the Journey Weekend.
This is sure to be a fun outdoor Girl Scouts weekend where you can bond with your fellow Girl Scouts and learn new skills to prepare you for the Colorado great outdoors!
Check- In Starts: Saturday, June 1 by 8 a.m. – Programming begins at 8:30 a.m.
Check-Out: Sunday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m.
OPTIONAL FRIDAY, MAY 31 ARRIVAL: For girls who are traveling to the event, you may select to stay at the campground on Friday night. Check- In for Friday will be from 6:30 – 8 p.m. We will provide an evening snack, but girls should come have eaten dinner.

Please note: Girls will be sleeping outdoors in tents as part of the badge requirements. Tents will be provided, but girls will need to bring sleeping pads and sleeping bags. Primitive toilets are available, but there are not any showers onsite.
