Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts will participate in leadership enrichment courses to expand their skills and knowledge to prepare them for their future in Girl Scouts and beyond. Girls will sign-up for the entire day and participate in all four courses. This is a FREE leadership development opportunity! Girls should bring a sack lunch and light snacks will be provided.

Morning Course Option 1 (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.):

Gold Award Training
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest achievement in Girl Scouts. Learn about the requirements, council procedures, and tips on making your Gold Award experience successful and rewarding.
This training is mandatory for anyone interested in earning her Gold Award. Leaders, co-leaders, and parents are encouraged to attend. All attendees must pre-register. We encourage you to take notes.

Morning Course Option 2 (10:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.):

Taking Ownership of Your Girl Scout Experience
Whether you are ready to take a stronger leadership role in your troop or you are planning your own experience as a Juliette, this course will take you through the steps to plan, budget and discover money-earning activities to make it all happen.
Let’s Go on an Adventure!
What better way to expand your horizons than through experiencing travel. Learn how to prepare yourself for the adventure, what opportunities are available, create a budget for you/your troop and create a pitch to help gain interest and earn money.
Afternoon Courses (12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.):

Using Your Leadership Skills for Change
You have been developing leadership skills throughout your Girl Scouts experiences, now is the time to apply them to make the world a better place. Discover how to utilize the skills you have and connect with something you are passionate about to make a plan to create change.
“Selling” Your Girl Scouts Experience
Participating in Girl Scouts is a unique leadership opportunity that can set you apart from the crowd. Identify those skills that put you at the top, learn how to apply them to your resume or scholarship essays and practice a formal introduction that identifies you as a girl of courage, confidence, and character.

The Older Girl Summit is on the same date and location as the Adult Leadership Summit. Girls are able to stay in the classroom (or designated waiting area) until the adult classes are over at 4:00 p.m. if they arrived with an adult attending the Summit.
