Welcome Troop Leaders and Volunteers! Please join us for a day of training and enrichment courses. We have 101 courses for all program levels, as well as some fun and informative enrichment courses that will support your volunteer experience. In these classes, you will learn skills and tips on how to best work with the girls in your troop and participate in activities that you will want to share with them. There are also opportunities to connect with other volunteers at the event.

Lunch will be catered, so please just bring a water bottle.

Schedule:

8:30 - 8:45 a.m. - Registration & displays in the main lobby
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Morning courses
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Lunch
1:15 - 2:45 p.m. - Early afternoon courses
3:00 - 4:30 p.m. - Late afternoon courses
4:30 - 4:45 p.m. - Turn in event evaluations and lanyards

Daisy/Brownie 101: Required for new troop leadership team members and strongly recommended for all volunteers working with Daisies or Brownies. Daisy/Brownie 101 is your ticket to a super successful troop! Connect with 100+ years of Girl Scouting experience and find the right resources to jump start the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Get hands-on with Journeys and the Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting, and learn how to plan and partner with your girls and network of support to make the troop experience meaningful and fun.

Junior 101: Required for new troop leadership team members and strongly recommended for all volunteers working with Juniors. Junior 101 is your ticket to a super successful troop! Connect with 100+ years of Girl Scouting experience and find the right resources to jump start the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Get hands-on with Journeys and the Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting, and learn how to plan and partner with your girls and network of support to make the troop experience meaningful and fun.

Cadette 101: Required for new troop leadership team members and strongly recommended for all volunteers working with Cadettes. Cadette 101 is your ticket to a super successful troop! Connect with 100+ years of Girl Scouting experience and find the right resources to jump start the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Get hands-on with Journeys and the Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting, and learn how to plan and partner with your girls and network of support to make the troop experience meaningful and fun.

Multi-Level 101: Required for Troop Leadership Team. Ready to get that new troop off the ground and help your girls soar? This course has the nitty gritty details you need to make starting your troop a breeze. This pilot course is especially designed for troops which span two or more program levels.

Event Planning: Tips and Tricks : Organizing a large event can be intimidating at first, this class will take you through the steps you need to take when you take one on!

Early Afternoon Courses 1:15 - 2:45 p.m.
Power Up!: Clique-Proof Your Troop: In this high-energy, interaction session, volunteers will learn practical ways to build a positive, clique-free culture in their troops and make the Girl Scout experience the best it can be for the whole troop!

Engaging Families in your Troop: Parents and guardians are part of Girl Scouting too! Share ideas and discuss how families should/can be active in your troop.

Girl Scout Ceremonies: Ceremonies for today and the future! Learn the importance and long tradition of ceremonies in Girl Scouting and resources available to you

Difficult Conversations & Conflict Resolution: Conflict is a natural thing that occurs. This class will give you tools and resources to have difficult conversations with caregivers, girls and even troop leadership team members if conflict ​occurs. This enrichment class will provide a collaborative problem solving solution that all volunteers and girls will benefit from.

Girl Scout Songs & Games: ​Do your girls have energy to burn? Learn how to teach them fun songs and games with a Girl Scout twist. A great singing voice isn't required to teach your girls the tradition of song.

Highest Awars & Take Action: This training is the perfect opportunity to connect with other troop leaders about successful service projects and learn how to let girls take the lead in making a difference in their community with “Take Action” projects that girls will complete in their Journeys, Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award projects.
