Welcome Troop Leaders and Volunteers! Please join us for a day of training and enrichment courses. We have some fun and informative enrichment courses that will support your volunteer experience. In these classes, you will learn skills and tips on how to best work with the girls in your troop and participate in activities that you will want to share with them. There are also opportunities to connect with other volunteers at the event.
Lunch will be catered, so please just bring a water bottle.
8:30-9:00 am - Check In, Opening Ceremony, and New Badge Activity
9:00-10:30 am - Engaging Families - Parents and guardians are part of Girl Scouting too! Share ideas and discuss how families should/can be active in your troop.
10:30-10:45 am - New Badge Activity
10:45-11:00 am - Break
11:00-12:30 pm - Difficult Conversations and Conflict Resolution - Conflict is a natural thing that occurs. This class will give you tools and resources to have difficult conversations with caregivers, girls and even troop leadership team members if conflict occurs. This enrichment class will provide a collaborative problem solving sollution that all volunteers and girls will benefit from.
12:30-1:00 pm - Lunch
1:00-1:15 pm - New Badge Activity
1:15-2:45 pm - Managing Multi-level Troops - Leading a multi-level troop has many advantages - this class will talk about how to lead a mutli-level troop with confidence. We will cover common pitfalls, how to work on badges and journey in a multi-level setting and structuring your troop meeting to meet the needs of all girls.
2:45 pm - Closing and Evaluations
