Colorado Child Care Tax Credit (CCCTC)

Colorado Child Care Tax Credit (CCCTC)

In order to promote giving to nonprofit organizations that provide quality childcare in Colorado, the state offers a special 50% income tax credit to taxpayers who donate to qualifying programs. Half of your donation to Girl Scouts of Colorado can be offset by a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your Colorado income taxes.  (Your donation will be designated to a qualifying summer camp program.  You are still able to claim your full contribution on your federal and state income tax returns if you itemize your deductions. Gifts of stock do not qualify.

If you would like your gift to Girl Scouts of Colorado to be earmarked for the tax credit, please write “Child Care Tax Credit” or "CCCTC" in the memo line of your check or on your donation card.  If giving online, please add Child Care Tax Credit (CCCTC) to the notes.

Please note that the tax credit will be applied to the year in which the gift is received by Girl Scouts of Colorado. Please consult with your personal tax advisor to confirm the effects on your individual finances.  For more information, please visit the Colorado Department of Revenue website and click to access “Income FYI Publication 35.”
