The most popular way that girls want to participate in Girl Scouts is as a member of a troop. It takes a minimum of 5 girls and 2 unrelated adults to get a new troop started, we have100s of girls on waitlists ready to join a troop. Troop volunteers are provided with training support, as well as the guidance of their local Girl Scout community - you won't be doing this alone! Girl Scouts learn financial literacy skills, and support their troop and Girl Scouting in Colorado through the sale of cookies in the Spring. Could you help a local troop manage their sale and share what you know about finance and business skills with the girls? Training is provided through classroom and web based tutorials. Girls Scouts thrive when they have a broad range of activites provided for them to choose from. Do you have program facilitation skills and/or expertise in a skill or interest to share? Do you represent an organization that would be interested in partnering witih Girl Scouts of Colorado to provide girls with hands-on learning opportunities?
