Volunteer awards

Volunteers are the strength of the Girl Scout movement!

Recognitions show a person your appreciation for the work that they do. This can be a simple thank you or a formal commendation for years of faithful service. Examples of recognitions include purchasing a lifetime membership in Girl Scouts or buying a gift certificate from our shop.

Volunteer awards are for currently registered Girl Scouts volunteers who give outstanding service above and beyond their volunteer position description. Any Girl Scout troop, service unit or council, or an individual, such as a parent, can nominate a volunteer for an award or give a volunteer a recognition.

To learn more about nominating a volunteer for an award, view the updated Adult Recognition Booklet!  Use the online nomination forms and letter of endorsement links at left. Please note, nominations are due by March 1, July 1each year.  If you have additional questions, please contact Bertha.
