Terms and Conditions

RESERVATIONS: Reservations must be made, and a full payment received no later than 30 days prior to the guest’s arrival date. If a final payment is not received by this time, the reservation will be cancelled.
Groups will not be allowed to reserve more than one Property for the same dates.
Please note that Girl Scouts of Colorado may update their fees without notice. Once a Property has been secured with a deposit, the price will not be subject to any fee updates.

LATE FEE: Any changes to Lodging, Food Service, or Activities that take place within 30 days of a guest’s arrival date will be subject to a $25 late fee. This includes both additions and deletions.

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS: If a reservation is cancelled before 30 days prior to a guest’s arrival date, they will forfeit their deposit, but will be refunded all other fees. Deposits may be transferred to a new reservation, if the guest requests the transfer before 30 days prior to their arrival date.
After 30 days prior to a guest’s arrival date, full refunds will only be granted if the reservation was cancelled by Girl Scouts of Colorado, or in the event of adverse weather conditions that prohibit safe travel. If a guest must cancel their trip due to weather conditions, they must contact the Site Manager of the Property or a Girl Scouts of Colorado Council Office no later than the day before their planned arrival. The contact information for each Property can be found in the Site User Manual.

Tomahawk Ranch

 

Just 45 minutes from Denver and close to Bailey, Tomahawk Ranch is a great location for any event and the best new Colorado choice for event planners, families, outdoor enthusiasts, youth groups, brides and more. Features a dining/meeting hall, all-season cabins, seasonal units, teepees and tent sites. 

 

Open:

  • Cabins are available year-round (closed for summer resident camp May - August).
  • Seasonal units, Teepees, and Tents are available May 15th-Sept 15th (closed for summer resident camp May - August)

 

Food Service:

Food service is required of those staying in the cabins. Food service may be available for those staying in seasonal shelters and platform tent units.

Food pricing is as follows:

2 Nights: $35 per person. Includes:

  • Friday Dinner - 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday Breakfast - 8:30 a.m.
  • Saturday Lunch - 12:30 p.m.
  • Saturday Snack - Pick up at 2:00 p.m.
  • Saturday Dinner - 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday Breakfast - 8:30 a.m.
  • Sunday Snack - 7:30 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. (can take snack for the road)

1 Night: $21 per person. Includes:

  •  Friday Dinner - 7:00 p.m.
  •  Saturday Breakfast - 8:30 a.m.
  •  Saturday Lunch - 12:30 p.m.
  •  Saturday Snack - Pick up at 2:00 p.m.

Facilities:

  • All-Season Cabins (4) (Arrowhead, Totem Pole, Kachina and Tom Tom): Each cabin has a 28 person capacity (24 for Arrowhead). Lodges have fully-equipped kitchens with dishwasher (Arrowhead does not have a dishwasher), toaster, coffee maker, etc. Dishes and cooking supplies provided for the capacity of the lodge. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces; indoor plumbing facilities and showers. Food service is required.
  • Seasonal Units (3) (Blue Feather, Running Deer and Navajo): Each unit consists of two buildings that sleep 14 each (not winterized) and an activity shelter. Capacity of 28 in each unit. Detached shower house with modern indoor plumbing facilities (May – September weather permitting). Seasonal units have bunk beds with mattresses and electricity. Outdoor cooking equipment is available for all units, make arrangements with Site Manager.
  • Chipeta (3): Large teepees on platforms. Capacity of 24. Latrines at site. Running water in summer, outdoor cooking equipment (pans, pots, utensils and stoves) is available, make arrangements with Site Manager.
  • Kiva (5): Shelters are three-sided wooden shelters with floors, with a rolled canvas front. Capacity of 30. Latrines at site. Running water in summer with 5 gallon plastic containers (Jerry Jugs) the rest of the year. Outdoor cooking equipment (pans, pots, utensils and stoves) is available by making arrangements with the Site Manager.
  • Wynetka: Tent area (tents available for you to pitch, make arrangements with Site Manager prior to your arrival). Latrines at site. Capacity of 30. Running water in summer with 5 gallon plastic containers (Jerry Jugs) the rest of the year. Outdoor cooking equipment (pans, pots, utensils and stoves) is available by making arrangements with the Site Manager.
  • Pathfinder and Timberline Platform Tent Units:  Platform tents on wooden bases. All tents have cots and mattresses and sleep four each tent. Pathfinder sleeps 32, Timberline sleeps 28. Latrines at each site. Running water in summer. Outdoor cooking equipment (pans, pots, utensils and stoves) is available by making arrangements with the Site Manager.
