Paying annual $12 dues to Girl Scouts of the USA provides a one-year membership from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30 (membership is not pro-rated, transferrable, or refundable). The membership dues for the 2013-14 membership year are going up to $15 per year. The new rate begins with Early Bird registration (April 15-June 15)

• Membership does not guarantee placement in a Girl Scout troop. Local events, camping opportunities, and troop dues may require additional fees. Being a member provides you with access to Girl Scout research & curriculum, volunteer support, events, camp, cookie sales and more.
•  If you are volunteering to be a part of your girls’ leadership experience you will want to become a member too. Adults register by following the same process.
