Outdoor Programs Committee

This is a committee of action that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (it does not make property recommendations). If you are interested in joining the Outdoor Programs Committee, please complete the application.

Archery Instructor Resources

GSCO volunteers who have a current archery instructor certification can teach archery to girls!

Beekeepers and Bee Education Resources

  • Dakota Bees: Offers native bee education and hive resources, Bee and Garden tours, and educational sessions for youth. Based out of Lakewood, CO. Good resource for field trips and food/pollination related journeys or badges.
  • Pollination Planet: Focus on pollination education and how it helps the world around us. You can schedule presentations in a classroom, field trips and more.

Conservation Resources

  • Hudson Gardens: Free general admission; Girl Scout themed badges and programming; free downloads for nature hunts at their location!
  • Trout Unlimited, Cutthroat Chapter: Expert volunteers are available for badge work; the group does seven service projects per year in conjunction with the Coalition for the Upper Platte; they examine river and stream health through water testing, insect examination, and temperature readings each year. Contact them to get involved and learn more!
