Through a variety of activities, girls explore Colorado ecosystems and learn how to positively impact the environment.  Through teamwork and cooperation, they learn to identify community needs and take action to make their communities “greener.”  This initiative also includes options in outdoor education.

A signature program of this initiative is Forever Green.  Girl Scouts Forever Green (GSFG), the Girl Scouts’ 100th Anniversary Take Action Project, is a national effort of girls leading their families, schools, and communities in improving the environment and protecting natural resources. GSFG invites girls to Take Action on three major projects – reducing plastic waste, creating rain gardens and participating in Earth Hour energy conservation events.
