Being a trainer is one of the most rewarding opportunities around! You can share your expertise to ensure a positive Girl Scout experience for girls and adults alike
- Any adult may be considered for the position of volunteer trainer.
- A Senior Girl Scout may be considered for Trainer-in-Training if she is a high school senior and has completed Leader-in-Training.
- The applicant reviews and agrees to the position statement of volunteer trainer and submits an application to the training executive.
- The applicant provides one Girl Scout adult reference and one non-Girl Scout adult reference.

- The applicant completes a one-on-one interview with the training executive and participates in the Train-the-Trainer session.
Train-the-Trainer
The next Train the Trainer course will be held in June, 2008 (dates to be determined) in three locations in Colorado. The course is facilitated by GSUSA Certified Instructors of Trainers and is based on proven principals for designing and delivering.
Once the Train-the-Trainer course is completed, participants are apprentice trainers. Apprentices begin working with an experienced or master trainer within two months of completing the Train-the-Trainer session. Ongoing evaluation and skill building will take place with the lead trainer and the training executive.
