Thanks to the over 3,000 participants from around the state who joined us to celebrate the Girl Scouts 5K & 1K Walk/Run 10th Anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 28 in Washington Park in Denver. The morning started off with a 1K "fun run" before the timed 5K walk/run. Before and after the races, attendees were invited to explore the free Fitness Fair, with an inflatable obstacle course, two climbing walls, wellness exhibits, fun give-aways and sports clinics. Even for those who did not participate in the race, the fitness fair was a fun way to learn a thing or two about keeping our health in check.
This event is an annual testament to our dedication to helping all girls start a lifetime of healthy habits at a young age and getting families and friends to move together. Brought to you in part by our sponsors, community contributions and Girl Scout product sales.
Congratulations to our winners! View the results of the event
