STATUS: Regular, part-time (20 hours per week); Grand Junction-based
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Girl Scouts of Colorado is seeking an energetic individual to work in partnership with Membership, Program Services and Volunteer Services staff to recruit adults who organize and deliver programs to girls in grades K-12. This position identifies potential collaborations; builds and strengthens relationships with universities, community and faith based groups to recruit girls and adult volunteers from a diverse population. The successful applicant will have the skills to deliver previously created Girl Scout programs to girls of all ages in areas where adult volunteers have not been recruited. The ideal candidate will bring proven success in marketing, networking and public presentations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Experience in marketing, leading public presentations and providing strong customer support.
- Ability to motivate, develop and relate to adults and girls of all ages.
- Excellent leadership skills, including knowledge of mentoring, evaluating, and inspiring youth and volunteers.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of children and adults.
- Excellent organizational and independent working skills.
- Excellent written, oral communication and networking skills.
- Working hours are irregular, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Access to transportation with insurance at required state levels to conduct business throughout the assigned regional area(s).
- Ability to travel up to 100 miles round trip.
EDUCATIONAL OR FORMAL TRAINING
- High School diploma and two years of college or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE
- Bilingual and bicultural skills desired.
- Two to three years demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse populations
