CONFIDENTIALITY
GSCO will maintain the confidentiality of all criminal background check information,including information regarding termination, appointment, or restriction/modification of the duties of current/prospective volunteer to the extent possible and reasonable within the bounds of conducting effective business operations. GSCO will maintain the confidentiality of all criminal background information, including information regarding disqualification decisions. GSCO does not have access to personal information entered into the IntelliCorp Volunteer Portal.

There are two ways to complete your background check:
Complete theVolunteer Background Check Authorization and Release form and turn in/mail along with your $12 payment to the region in which you live.
Option 1: If you do not have access to a computer, Girl Scouts of Colorado (GSCO) has designated staff at each service center who can run your background check. You will need to complete all information on the Volunteer Background Check Authorization and Release form, including your Social Security number and turn in/mail with payment to your nearest regional service center. Once your background check has been completed, your Social Security number and any credit card information will be destroyed. Girl Scouts of Colorado does not store Social Security or credit card numbers.
OR
Option 2: Online (best option). Once the Council has received your signed Volunteer Background Check Authorization and Release form and payment, you will receive an e-mail with a unique password allowing you to enter the IntelliCorp Volunteer Portal.
To complete your background check online:
- Click on the IntelliCorp Volunteer Portal link below and enter your unique password.
- Once you have entered your password you will enter your name, Social Security number, date of birth and region number directly into the IntelliCorp site. (To determine your region number, click on What is my Region #?).
- Click on the “Submit” button to complete the process.
The Manager Mission Delivery in your region will be contacted regarding the results of your background check. Please note that all information received from IntelliCorp will be handled in a confidential manner.
If you have received your unique password, you may now enter the volunteer portal.
