Basalt teens donate loveable friends to local hospital
By Leader Anne M.
The 7th grade girls from Cadette Troop 263 from Basalt recently conducted a stuffed animal drive. The girls made a big box to collect “gently loved stuffed animals” at their school and got a great response! These girls also donated many of their own stuffed animals to the drive.
On April 24, five of the girls went to Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs to donate the toys. Staff members of the hospital were very gracious and appreciative. The troop then went to do a Cooking Class in Glenwood Springs, which enabled them to earn their Creative Cooking Interest Project Award.
