Statement about the ‘09 cookie incentive plan: As the council enters year two of Girl Scouts of Colorado, the time is upon us to come together and launch one cookie program for 2009. With one, integrated program, Girl Scouts of Colorado will become a stronger organization, providing girls with valuable leadership experiences that will last them their whole life through.
This year’s cookie incentive plan is an important component of the cookie activity for many of our members. Earlier this summer, the council asked for feedback on cookie incentives from members. We listened to what you said and created an all new cookie incentive plan that will work for the whole state. The percentage of the price of each cookie box that goes towards this incentive plan has not changed from 2008. Instead the council has allocated these same dollars in a new way. And as a result, all girls and troops throughout Colorado have new and exciting troop and individual recognitions to look forward to for 2009.
Now is the time to sit down with your troop and start discussing all you have to look forward to with this year’s cookie activity. The council hopes you will use the incentive plan as a tool in your goal setting processes. We realize that there will be changes for everyone with this new plan. As the premier business training program for girls, this is an opportunity to teach girls the process that all businesses go through. Just imagine what girls will learn as they discover new goals for themselves, connect with new cookie customers or see new ways to help their community through their cookie proceeds!
