To ensure that every girl who wishes to participate in Girl Scouting has the opportunity to do so, we are happy to provide need-based financial assistance to girls and adults who do not have the funds needed to participate in the Girl Scout program.

Funds are available for summer camp, troop camping and STUDIO 2B destinations; troop dues, handbooks, uniform sash or vest, insignia and numerals, national dues and council-sponsored events. All requests for financial assistance are kept confidential.

Fill out an Opportunity Grant form for financial assistance (pdf, 2009). For more information about specific types of grants, please contact the appropriate person, noted below.

  • Summer camps, troop overnights and STUDIO 2B destinations - The request is made by an individual. The grant form must accompany the camp application. Direct questions to your local service center.
  • Troop overnights - The requests are made by the troop leader. Direct questions to your local service center.
  • Troop dues, handbooks, uniform sash or vest, insignia, numerals and national dues -Troop leader initiates the request using the (name of form) form. Direct questions to your local service center.
  • Council-sponsored events - All requests are made using the Grants for Girls form. Grant forms to attend council events must accompany the event registration form. Requests for troop activities and questions should be directed to your local service center.
