We know Girl Scouts do many fabulous things each year. This is your chance to brag about it! Who doesn’t love to see their photo in the newspaper or watch their daughter do an interview on TV? These opportunities help tell the Girl Scout story and build visibility for our organization in the community.
What is a Media Messenger?
A person who volunteers to help promote Girl Scouting in their community. Volunteers are the most important people in the Girl Scout organization when it comes to telling the Girl Scout story. Media Messengers will share the exciting news about Girl Scouts in their community.
Why has this position been developed?
When we work together in promoting Girl Scouting, we can help recruit more girls, adults, dollars and more to help Girl Scouts of Colorado build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
What is the time commitment for this position?
It's flexible. Girl Scouts of Colorado will provide you the opportunities and tools throughout the year to promote Girl Scouting initiatives and events in your community, and then it’s up to you on how far you want to take it. If you are looking for a career change, being a Media Messenger is great experience for your resume.
What experience is required?
A passion for promoting all the good Girl Scouting does in the community! Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills are also important. Training and tools provided by Girl Scouts of Colorado.
