 FAQs:

"I registered for camp but have not received my Camper Information Packet."

  • If you did not specifically request to receive paper mail correspondence with us, all information is sent electronically to the e-mail address you provided upon registration. Be sure to check your spam and junk mail for e-mails from "Camper Info" or "Chris Adams".  If your packet is not there, please call a camp registrar at 303-778-8774 or toll free at 866-827-7033.

"How many health forms are there and how do I fill them out?"

  • There are five different health forms. The Standard Health Form can be filled out online with the registration or by paper.
  • The Physician's Signature form (not required for 3-day resident camps or day camp), the Permission for Medication form (only required if your camper is bringing medication to camp), the Immunization Record and the Authorization for Treatment form are different and are required by our licensing agencies.  Please use the forms we have provided as they are approved by the state of Colorado. These four forms can be filled out and mailed, faxed (303-733-6345), or e-mailed to the Denver Service Center registration department.

"How do I pay my remaining balance?"

  • You can pay by check, credit card or cookie credit card. If you choose to pay by credit card, we can take payment over the phone. Girl Scouts of Colorado puts out the welcome
map at camp properties

Girl Scouts of Colorado has listened to the requests of our members and conducted an analysis of our property usage policies and fees. In response, we have restructured the policies and fees to be more affordable and flexible for our users. The biggest change is that we have done away with day use fees for our properties. We want our members to be able to visit our properties to take a hike or have a picnic at no charge. All it takes is a phone call to make sure the property is open. And if you want to use a building for an indoor activity while you’re there, you can do so for a nominal maintenance fee. The other major change our members will love is that you can reserve individual cabins or seasonal units at a greatly reduced rate for smaller groups, instead of having to rent the entire site. In addition, the fees to rent most facilities for a single night have been reduced. Like our founder, Juliette Gordon Lowe, we want to encourage our members to experience the out of doors and discover the world around us. Girl Scouts of Colorado is so lucky to own property in some of the most beautiful areas of our state. These are your camps and lodges, so come out and enjoy them! Read more.

Note: The current fees will remain in effect for all reservations prior to and made through May 31, 2010. The new fees will apply to all reservations made on June 1, 2010 or after. Download the new fee structure.
For current facility fees through May 31, 2010

Overview

Camping is a cornerstone of Girl Scouting, whether it be as a troop overnight or troop camp experience, or summer resident camp or summer day camp experience. At camp, girls develop independence, self-confidence and leadership skills while gaining an appreciation for nature and making lifelong memories.

  • Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts can start their troop camping experience through backyard camping adventures, day camp or parent/daughter weekends.
  • Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors can broaden their troop camping experiences through extended overnight and more rustic camping adventures.
  • Older Girl Scouts can also take on leadership roles at camp.

Girl Scouts of Colorado is proud to offer area Girl Scouts increased camping opportunities throughout the state. There are also places for troops and service units to camp at other times of the year, even during the winter!
