Getting Started with Camp Reservations
Excited!? Not sure where to start?
What you need to do before you make your camp reservations:
-
Review the Safety Activity Checkpoints for your camp out or trip with the girls and adults participating. Adults going along must be 18 or older and be registered with the Girl Scouts so that Girl Scout Insurance covers them during the trip/camp out.
-
The leader must have completed the required leader training classes.
-
Ensure that you have going along with your group someone who meets the training requirements for the camping activity.
Not sure what those are? Click Here!
-
Ensure that you have an adult going with your troop/group that is current and up to date on their First-Aid and CPR certifications. We will need a photocopy, front and back, of their card before you will be allowed to head out on your trip/camp out.
-
Have the funds available to make deposits and pay final fees for the camp.
-
You will need to assign someone staying at home to act as the emergency contact. This person will have all the information for contacting all the parents of girls at camp, phone numbers of people at camp, the phone line for the camp, along with giving out their numbers to parents in order to reach girls at camp for an emergency.
-
If camping for three nights or longer, you will need to fill out an Extended Trip Application. This will need to be approved by your Membership Manager, and then sent to Marlene Bruno.
