Then design and make your own hand stamped metal necklace, caged jewelry, and sparkling gift. Cost is $13/girl includes 2 jewelry projects and Jeweler badge. If you don't need a badge, the cost will be $11.50. Parent helpers are free up to the required ratio. (1 adult to 6 Juniors, 1 adult to 10 Cadettes) Additional adults are $10 each, or free if you have jewelry making skills!

What to bring:
~ Healthy snacks recommended.
~ Medium sized hammer (about 1 lbs)
What to wear: Please wear closed toe shoes and tie back your hair if longer than shoulder length.

Important Notes: We will be using hammers, pliers, screw drivers, engraving tools, and possibly hand torch, jeweler saw, and encountering other sharp or heavy jewelry making tools. Leaders, please talk to the parents about this. I will only have band-aids for minor cuts. Safety glasses will be provided.

Northern Colorado Girl Scouts Bronze, Silver, and Gold Celebration and Bridging Ceremony in Boulder

All girls who have earned their Gold, Silver, or Bronze Award are invited to this Highest Awards Celebration in Boulder! This celebration will be 2-4 p.m. May 4, 2014 at Mountain View Methodist Church in Boulder. Friends and families are welcome. Troops which have not yet earned an award are encouraged to attend and get motivated. Girl Scouts who have earned awards should plan to arrive at 1:30pm. Gold, Silver and Bronze Awardees will be recognized on stage. After the Highest Award Celebration, a Bridging Ceremony will take place for any attending scouts bridging to the next level during the next membership year. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

If you are planning to attend the Northern Colorado Girl Scouts Bronze, Silver, and Gold Celebration and Bridging Ceremony in Boulder, please complete this RSVP before April 29th. If you have other questions about the celebration, please contact Kaylen Hopkins at kaylen.hopkins@gscolorado.org.

Young Americans has been teaching kids about money for more than 25 years and is excited to partner with Girl Scouts of Colorado.

The Juniors and leaders of Troop 71748 have made arrangements for a Gardens on Spring Creek Guide to facilitate a program that fulfills the requirements for the Junior 'Flowers' legacy badge. Participants in this program will be:

* planting a flower
* stopping and smelling the flowers
* identifying a flower that turns into a fruit and making a snack
* creating something beautiful with flowers, and
* sending a message in flower code

This exciting program will be held at Gardens on Spring Creak, 2145 Center Ave, Fort Collins CO 80526. The program will run from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, May 17th. Girls need to arrive at 12:45 for check-in. The cost is $10 per girl, to be paid to the City of Fort Collins on the day of the program. This cost does not include the actual 'Flowers' badge, so it will need to be provided by the Girl Scout Junior's troop or parent.

Families and troops are invited to this weekend in the mountains where we "open" camp in preparation for campers to arrive. Meals are provided Friday dinner - Sunday brunch at no fee. Jobs may include: cleaning buildings or bathrooms, picking up trash, re-painting, maintaining trails, etc. Saturday night's evening program will help families relax and celebrate their hard work. Housing will be in seasonal shelters and lodges. No badge work or other activities are offered this weekend. No pets allowed. One Camp Registration Form per group and one Health Form per person attending is required. NEW: We are developing more permaculture and urban homesteading projects. Girl Scouts can register for a 2 ½ hour program during the day to earn one of the new Plains Conservation Center patches.

Girls will earn a program patch in one of the following areas: Grassland Ecology, Cheyenne Indian Skills or Sod Homesteading

Adults are free, however, we do need to know how many adults will be with each troop when you register because space is limited on wagon rides and inside tipis!
