Using a same-sex setting, Power Up creates an environment where girls and adults become skilled at counteracting bullying behavior through experiential learning and processing girls’ actual encounters. The program is research-based and outcomes-driven, and focuses on preventing the verbal and relational bullying prevalent among girls. Power Up teaches the 85% of people who are bystanders to bullying to find their power, stand up and defend others. In this 8 hour training, girls and adults will learn how to facilitate Power Up to girls. They will learn great tools to combat bullying, the reasoning and philosophy behind it, and how to teach it to their own community!
Price includes food, curriculum, and tshirt.

Come join The Wildlife Experience for our Spring overnight held April 5-6th, 2013 and spend a night at the museum learning about animals from around the world! Enjoy a pizza dinner upon arrival, cruise around the museum for an evening tour, watch a late-night movie in our Extreme Screen Theater, and meet some of our live animals. Wake in the morning and eat some delicious breakfast. Throughout the event, girls will complete activities to earn our Globeology patch. The rest of the day Saturday is yours to spend at the Museum, enjoying our exhibits and Nature Trail!

BYOU Magazine is bringing a global movement to educate girls and change the world with a screening of the ground-breaking empowering film Girl Rising, which spotlights the stories of nine girls from around the world who face – and overcome – unbelievable obstacles on the path toward getting an education. Our screening is in the Denver area on Wednesday, April 10, 7:30 PM at the Arapahoe Crossings 16 Movie Theater (Arapahoe Rd & Parker Rd: MAP).
The film is directed by Academy Award-nominee Richard E. This interactive class taught by a Colorado Law Enforcement Officer is designed for elementary school aged children who desire to learn 911 Education, what to do if lost in public or the wilderness, how to avoid dangerous situations and what to do and how to react once placed in a dangerous and/or uncomfortable situation and more. Commonly referred to as a “Stranger Danger” Class; however more emphasis will be placed on “Dangerous Situations” children may get themselves into; even with a person they know and trust.
The class will also focus on teaching parents and children “how to be a good witness” and what police need in order to assist with a police investigation. This is not a self-defense class and a parent or guardian is required to stay the duration of the class.

Have you always loved archery? Become a certified teacher in only one day! There are three opportunities this spring and early summer to complete your Level 1 Certification in Archery.
This certification is recognized by the USA Archery and National Field Archery Association. This course is designed to qualify instructors for short term recreational archery programs.
You will be able to teach basic archery skills to others confidently and safely. Certification is good for 3 years from date of issue.
Cost covers your materials, your certification, and lunch.
Be sure to start your season on target by aiming for your mark to teach Archery in 2013!

Bring a veggie, chop it up with your new knife skills, contribute to stone soup, and enjoy it with a hot lunch. Get ready for your next camp out and move forward in the progression of outdoor skills.

Do you love to sing? Do you remember Girl Scout songs from your younger days? Would you like to sing some more and learn newer, fun songs as well as the "oldies & goodies?" Then SONGBIRDS GIRL SCOUT CHOIR is for you! Open to anyone of any age at any time. Guitar classes are available for ages 10 and up. We've been singing for 12 years now, and having a great time showing our love for Girl Scouts at special events, fund-raisers, community events, etc. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month September through April. Leaders, are you looking for a great experience for your girls while you are at Springaganza? Look no further. This year we are offering a journey sampler for Brownies and Juniors.
Through games and crafts girls will get to try out different journey activities, make new friends and get a camping experience staying in their own supervised cabin. We are offering this track for girls who want to stay through the whole weekend.
If you have older girls interested in coming, sign them up to gain leadership experience by helping as program aides for the weekend.
Cost includes lodging, food and materials for Friday-Sunday. Upon checkout if your daughter has dietary restrictions or food allergies please make note of them in the Special Requests box.
To secure the cost we have to have a minimum of 20 girls registered.

During the tour women from Kappa Delta will tell them about the campus, and talk to them about college and their future plans after high school. After the tour there will be snacks at the Kappa Delta house to talk about how the tour went and answer any further questions from girls.
