Using a same-sex setting, Power Up creates an environment where girls and adults become skilled at counteracting bullying behavior through experiential learning and processing girls’ actual encounters. The program is research-based and outcomes-driven, and focuses on preventing the verbal and relational bullying prevalent among girls. Power Up teaches the 85% of people who are bystanders to bullying to find their power, stand up and defend others. In this 8 hour training, girls and adults will learn how to facilitate Power Up to girls. They will learn great tools to combat bullying, the reasoning and philosophy behind it, and how to teach it to their own community!

Price includes food, curriculum, and tshirt.

Come join The Wildlife Experience for our Spring overnight held April 5-6th, 2013 and spend a night at the museum learning about animals from around the world! Enjoy a pizza dinner upon arrival, cruise around the museum for an evening tour, watch a late-night movie in our Extreme Screen Theater, and meet some of our live animals. Wake in the morning and eat some delicious breakfast. Throughout the event, girls will complete activities to earn our Globeology patch. The rest of the day Saturday is yours to spend at the Museum, enjoying our exhibits and Nature Trail!

Helps girls recognize what foods help to promote healthy bodies, minds, and moods.  What we eat has a profound effect on our health and well being and how we relate that to our self-esteem and body-image. Girls will learn how to eat sensible by learning what specific foods can fight stress and disease and have a positive impact on our skin, hair, and bodies. Activities may include making an easy super food recipe/ recipe book and or herbal hair/ skin product incorporating the healthy foods discussed.

Learn to work with your girls to plan and take trips beyond the regular troop meeting. This course covers outings from an overnight at the leader’s house to two-night indoor overnights with no fires or outdoor cooking and should be taken prior to planning a trip.

This course is required before planning an outing that involves cooking outdoors and/or camping overnight and 6-9 months prior to the trip.  This course prepares adults to partner with girls in planning and preparing for outdoor cooking, fire building (in-door and out) and overnight camping.  Prerequisite: Overnight Trips

Please bring own dishes, utensils and cup as well as warm clothes since the class will be outdoors preparing for cooking and camping.

Due to the bad weather on Sat., March 9th, the Dinosaur Resource Center is rescheduling our free Scout day to Sat., April 6th. Scouts and leaders in uniform will receive free admission to the DRC. Nature’s Educators will be giving two presentations at 11:30am and 2:00pm and will be hosting an interactive table for Scout Day! Come learn about raptors and reptiles and how they are related to dinosaurs or other prehistoric animals. Find out some great facts about these amazing predatory animals. Dinosaur Ridge will also be here with an activity table from 9am-4pm.

BYOU Magazine is bringing a global movement to educate girls and change the world with a screening of the ground-breaking empowering film Girl Rising, which spotlights the stories of nine girls from around the world who face – and overcome – unbelievable obstacles on the path toward getting an education. Our screening is in the Denver area on Wednesday, April 10, 7:30 PM at the Arapahoe Crossings 16 Movie Theater (Arapahoe Rd & Parker Rd: MAP).

The film is directed by Academy Award-nominee Richard E. Robbins and narrated by a cast of great actresses, including Meryl Streep, Selena Gomez, Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Alicia Keys, and Kerry Washington, and is rated PG-13*. This interactive class taught by a Colorado Law Enforcement Officer is designed for elementary school aged children who desire to learn 911 Education, what to do if lost in public or the wilderness, how to avoid dangerous situations and what to do and how to react once  placed in a dangerous and/or uncomfortable situation and more. Commonly referred to as a “Stranger Danger” Class; however more emphasis will be placed on “Dangerous Situations” children may get themselves into; even with a person they know and trust.

The class will also focus on teaching parents and children “how to be a good witness” and what police need in order to assist with a police investigation. This is not a self-defense class and a parent or guardian is required to stay the duration of the class.

This event is our way of celebrating World Thinking Day!  Each year, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world celebrate the international friendship in our movement, learn and take action on important topics, and fundraise in support of the World Thinking Day Fund.  At International Festival, troops set up booths to represent one of the 145 countries that are represented in The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.  The local community and all other Girl Scouts are invited to be 'tourists'.  Tourists get an event passport and visit each country to learn something new, try a snack, and maybe even make or buy a craft item! Have you always loved archery?  Become a certified teacher in only one day!  There are three opportunities this spring and early summer to complete your Level 1 Certification in Archery. 

This certification is recognized by the USA Archery and National Field Archery Association.  This course is designed to qualify instructors for short term recreational archery programs. 

You will be able to teach basic archery skills to others confidently and safely.  Certification is good for 3 years from date of issue.

Cost covers your materials, your certification, and lunch.

Be sure to start your season on target by aiming for your mark to teach Archery in 2013!

Girls participate in a variety of mini sports clinic, centered around the Olympics. A health fair is also held to promote not only physical health, but mental and emotional health as well.

Run by Senior Troop 7 from Boulder, this day camp includes a sample of outdoor skills to learn and improve including: Knife Craft and Safety, Knot Tying, Compass Use, Camp Banners / Skits / Team Building, Fire Building, Campsite Set-up / Tent Pitching, and Introduction to Emergency First Aid and Preparation.

Bring a veggie, chop it up with your new knife skills, contribute to stone soup, and enjoy it with a hot lunch. Get ready for your next camp out and move forward in the progression of outdoor skills.

The event patch is not included in the program fee - the patch will be on sale for $2 at the event if troops want to purchase it.

Do you love to sing? Do you remember Girl Scout songs from your younger days? Would you like to sing some more and learn newer, fun songs as well as the "oldies & goodies?" Then SONGBIRDS GIRL SCOUT CHOIR is for you!  Open to anyone of any age at any time. Guitar classes are available for ages 10 and up.  We've been singing for 12 years now, and having a great time showing our love for Girl Scouts at special events, fund-raisers, community events, etc. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month September through April. This event is open to all registered Girl Scouts, their families and friends. Juliettes must be accompanied by an adult.

Are you looking for a community service activity to do with friends, family and/or your Girl Scout troop. Look no further. Girl Scout Troop 675 of Broomfield is hosting a park cleanup activity for all ages.  Please join us as we pick up trash in a local community park in honor of Earth Day!  All ages are welcome!  Parking available on 132nd just west of Zuni. Learn to cook sweet and savory dishes with Girl Scout cookies! Each girl recieves a copy of each recipe. Foodies will provide the apron, tools, and all the food, and cookies. Girls will work on certain badge requirments, as well.

Learn to work with your girls to plan and take trips beyond the regular troop meeting. This course covers outings from an overnight at the leader’s house to two-night indoor overnights with no fires or outdoor cooking and should be taken prior to planning a trip.
No pre-requisites.

Come for the day or come for the weekend, enjoy the beautiful views from Tomahawk Ranch while getting your training.

Leaders, are you looking for a great experience for your girls while you are at Springaganza? Look no further. This year we are offering a journey sampler for Brownies and Juniors.

Through games and crafts girls will get to try out different journey activities, make new friends and get a camping experience staying in their own supervised cabin. We are offering this track for girls who want to stay through the whole weekend.

If you have older girls interested in coming, sign them up to gain leadership experience by helping as program aides for the weekend. 

Cost includes lodging, food and materials for Friday-Sunday. Upon checkout if your daughter has dietary restrictions or food allergies please make note of them in the Special Requests box.

To secure the cost we have to have a minimum of 20 girls registered.

This course is required before planning an outing that involves cooking outdoors and/or camping overnight and 6-9 months prior to the trip.  This course prepares adults to partner with girls in planning and preparing for outdoor cooking, fire building (in-door and out) and overnight camping.  Prerequisite: Overnight Trips

Activities during this Garden Party are related to a garden theme and Girl Scout values, history and traditions.
Daisies participating in this event will earn the “watering can,” and the “golden honey bee” awards.
To complete the Daisy Flower Garden Journey leaders/parents/girls will plan for their Take Action project to complete “amazing Daisy” award. Also ideas and resources will be available to add to your journey experience.

Minimum: 32 girls Max: 50

Girls will be divided into groups of 10 and taken on a tour of the Colorado State University campus. During the tour women from Kappa Delta will tell them about the campus, and talk to them about college and their future plans after high school. After the tour there will be snacks at the Kappa Delta house to talk about how the tour went and answer any further questions from girls.

We’ll learn where our energy and water come from and how we can reduce our use of natural resources. We’ll also investigate other practices for healthy living and a healthy earth such as recycling. In the end, we’ll develop individual action plans for practicing sustainability in our everyday lives.

Did you know the Enviromental Leadership Center (ELC) land was once used by the Utes and Ararahos?  Did you know it was the site of one of the first homesteads in the Fort Collins area?

We'll learn all about our land's history as we tour the old farmstead on our property and investigate the lives of girls and women of Colorado's past.
