Girl Scouts will get an inside look at everything involved in the creation and operation of Disney's Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever! The clinic will explore the extensive use of technical elements in the production that enhance the quality of the show. Scouts will have the opportunity to see how the touring show has taken the essential elements of a theatrical production and enhanced them to make bigger and more impactful statements throughout the show. Scouts receive a commemorative Phineas and Ferb patch upon entry at Bellco Theatre.

National Girls and Women in Sport Day began in 1987 and has evolved into a day to acknowledge the past and recognize current sports achievements, the positive influence of sports participation, and the continuing struggle for equality and access for women in sports. Colorado College will be celebrating with an interactive sports clinic and expo held in conjunction with our women’s basketball game vs. the University of Dallas on Saturday, February 2nd.
Colorado College invites young ladies to visit us and meet/interact with CC Tiger student-athletes and representatives from local sports organizations. The Sports Clinic provides an opportunity for kids to learn about a variety of sports and meet a variety of female athletes. It really is a fun experience.
Admission is FREE for all events!

2013 Theme: Survivor
Do you have what it takes to survive in the 21st Century? From relationships to technology to the outdoors, each area of our lives requires new and everchanging skills. Join older Girl Scouts from across Colorado as you learn to survive! Additional information will be mailed to all participants after the registration deadline.
Girls enjoy a variety of activities including shopping and a journey connected activities. So be prepared to stay up. Girls also take part in a service project and who knows what surprises are in store. Space is limited for this event, so register early!
Adults (Parents and/or Leaders) are required to attend this event with their girls. We require a minimum of two (2) adult for every attending troop, up to 10 girls. Our mall property partners and security require that all girls be chaparoned by an adult at all time, regardless of age.
There is a Mandatory Meeting for all first time attending troops on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 6:30pm.This will be via phone or web. Details for the meeting will be sent out in the confirmation packet in January. We will be reviewing the event schedule, rules and safety requirements at these meetings.

Girls will learn the basics of being a PA including working with girls and adults, age characteristics of different program levels, as well as program planning and coordination.
The Camp Specialty is for girls interested in being PAs at camp and covers Outdoor Skills including cooking, fire building, and knife safety.
This training is an overnight and will include other activities as well. Other activities may include; hiking, crafts, farm tour, campfire, etc.
Girls must have completed their Leader In Action award before they can register for this program.
After this training, girls will need to complete six activity sessions (PA internship) to complete their training and earn their pin.
Adults are encouraged (but not required) to attend. The cost is free and you may be asked to help chaperone the girls at night if the trainer is unable to spend the night. Adult training including “overnights” is a plus.

Activities will include:
Paper Towers: This is a fun engineering activity that promotes creativity, teamwork and skil. Girls must build a tower out of paper that can support a ball or books and a wind storm!
Food Chemistry: Girls will do a variety of different experiments to explore the science of food, including some edible ones.
Rockets: During this sessions, girls will practice loading and launching an Alka Seltzer rocket and see what conditions will optimize the height of the launch.
Chemical Magic Show: The workshop closes with a fantastic magic show put on by members of ths USAFA Department of Chemistry.
Snacks will be provided.
Due to the limited space of the AFA labs, the girl-adult ration for this event is 1 adult for every 5 girls attending.

In support of National Girl's & Women's In Sports Day the Air Force Academy is hosting a pre-game sports clinic taught by Air Force Coaches and Athletes. The sports include; basketball, soccer, volleyball, and tennis. The clinic starts at 11:30am, and will finish about 1:30pm. It will be held in the Cadet Gymnasium. Participants will rotate through each sport, or can choose to stay with one sport. All participants are invited over to the Air Force women's basketball game at 2:00pm vs. Nevada. Admission is FREE for kids who attended the pre-game clinic. T-shirts will also be given out at the game to all participants.
The first 400 fans at the game will receive an Air Force pink t-shirt. Fans are encouraged to wear it back to Clune Arena on Wed. Feb. 20th to get FREE admission to the PINK game vs. Boise State.
There will also be a full team autograph’s session following the Air Force vs. Nevada game Feb. 9th.

Looking for a fun and easy way to spend time with your troop or make new friends? Join the Girl Scouts of Colorado’s Global Girl Scouting Committee as we celebrate World Thinking Day in three locations around the state. This year, along with the Girl Scouts of the USA, we are celebrating the Republic of Ireland, Jordan, Malawi, Pakistan, Venezuela and the United States by looking at the culture and lives of girls in these countries through music and activities.
You will get the chance to learn more about WAGGGS and the Millennium Development Goals four and five focused on reducing child mortality and improving maternal health. Examples of activities include games about sanitation and healthy living habits for kids as well as activities to celebrate our mothers and mothers around the globe.
The shop will be present at all of these events.
Price: Early bird- $10 a child; Walk ins- $12; adults are free
This cost includes a meal, patch, four hours of games and activities and six swaps.

Then SONGBIRDS GIRL SCOUT CHOIR is for you! Open to anyone of any age at any time. Guitar classes are available for ages 10 and up. We've been singing for 12 years now, and having a great time showing our love for Girl Scouts at special events, fund-raisers, community events, etc. We meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month September through April. Brownies have the option of working on the Home Scientist Badge and the Senses Badge. Juniors will hone their detective skills while working on the Detective Badge along with the Entertainment Technology Badge. Cadettes will also venture into the investigation and Sciences while working on Science is Happiness Badge and the Special Agent Badge.

Looking for a fun and easy way to spend time with your troop or make new friends? Join the Girl Scouts of Colorado’s Global Girl Scouting Committee as we celebrate World Thinking Day in three locations around the state. This year, along with the Girl Scouts of the USA, we are celebrating the Republic of Ireland, Jordan, Malawi, Pakistan, Venezuela and the United States by looking at the culture and lives of girls in these countries through music and activities.
You will get the chance to learn more about WAGGGS and the Millennium Development Goals four and five focused on reducing child mortality and improving maternal health. Examples of activities include games about sanitation and healthy living habits for kids as well as activities to celebrate our mothers and mothers around the globe.
The shop will be present at all of these events and lodging can be made available at Magic Sky and Sky High ranch locations for an additional fee.

University of Colorado Denver presents a FREE series of 8 STEM lectures open to all ages. Engaging and unique topics include "Closing in on Dark Matter" and "Computer Vision". FREE parking on the downtown Auraria Campus is included.

Indrani Pal, PhD, and civil engineer will be one of the presenters and stresses the importance of women choosing STEM careers. "Attracting and retaining more women in the STEM workforce will maximize innovation, creativity, and competitiveness. Scientists and engineers are working to solve some of the most difficult challenges of our time, and engineers design many of the things we use daily. When women are not involved in science and engineering, experiences the needs, and desires that are unique to women may be overlooked."
