For leaders and troops with busy schedules, troop camp is a great way to enjoy camp with your girls but leave the planning and food preparation to someone else. Come experience Girl Scout camp with your troop.
There will be an assigned schedule that may include a hike, crafts, archery. An all-camp campfire program also will be included. Price includes six meals, two snacks, two nights housing and program planned and led by Volunteers. Girl Scout leaders will be responsible for and in charge of their campers at all times.
More information about this camping opportunity will be sent in the Camper Information Packets. (Minimum two adults per troop, Safety Activity Checkpoints ratios must be maintained (1:6 for Brownies,1:8 for Juniors, 1:10 for Cadettes, and 1:12 for Seniors and Ambassadors). Additional adults will be accepted if space is available. Normal fee must be paid and paperwork submitted by the printed deadline.
The cost is $55 per girl. You will pay the $10 deposit right now per girl, and the resulting balance will be due by the deadline date of 7/2/2012.

This course is required before planning an outing that involves cooking outdoors and/or camping overnight and 6-9 months prior to the trip. This course prepares adults to partner with girls in planning and preparing for outdoor cooking, fire building (in-door and out) and overnight camping.
Prerequisite: Overnight Trips
This class is being offered in conjunction with a Service Unit Event in Glenwood Springs. Anyone attending this class will also need to pay an additional fee ($5) to the Glenwood Springs Service Unit for the event.

Fight Like A Girl is a ten-year proven program of unique techniques and skills developed by Kym Rock to teach women and girls to think smarter and get away from an attacker, abductor or abuser.
The mission is to make a difference in the horrendous statistics of violence and abuse in our country and around the world.
The program encompasses seminars and on-going classes that empower women and children to have greater self-esteem through knowledge of these life-saving skills and to fulfill their dreams.

The requirements for this patch will be fulfilled by adapting select activities from the BeadforLife, Eradicating Poverty One Bead at a Time, curriculum where girls will learn how to define their own values about local and world issues, particularly extreme poverty and the life of women and girls in Uganda."

Adults get all your training, see and taste the product, play some games, and do some activities. This event is open to troops, girls and adults. Not registered as a Girl Scouts? Not a problem come register that day and kick start your Girl Scout experience with us.
Cost is $3.00 per girl and includes a patch. Early Bird registered girls are FREE. Each attending girl is asked to bring either a ream of copy paper or a $5 gift card for SU 13 Back to School supply community service project.

Competition and Entry Requirements:
1. All registrations must go to the Colorado State Fair. Please do not submit to your local Girl Scout office.
2. Contestants must be under the age of 18 at time of contest.
3. Limit one entry per category per person.
4. Girl Scout membership is NOT a requirement to enter the competition.
5. Recipes should be original and must be created with a minimum of two cookies per serving (not including garnish), any variety.
6. Recipes will be judged on taste, appearance and originality.
7. Each recipe must be named, original, unpublished, and the sole property of the entrant.
8. Recipe must be TYPED on an 8 inch by 11 inch sheet of paper and include the
recipe name, a list of ingredients and simple preparation instructions. On the REVERSE side of the recipe TYPE your name, age, address and city of residence.
9. Entries must be made solely by the contestant.
10. Entries will be judged by Girl Scouts, whose decision is final.
11. Submit at least six servings of the prepared entry.
12. All recipes become the property of Girl Scouts of Colorado and the Colorado State Fair, each of which reserve the right to edit, adapt, copyright, publish and use any or all of the recipes, and contestant names, for publicity, promotion, or advertising without compensation to the contestant.
13. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner.
All place winners will be recognized with a certificate of participation. Each contestant is eligible to receive two boxes of Girl Scout Cookies for use in their recipe. Please contact your local Girl Scout Service Center for cookie availability.
