Learn and participate in a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. It’s a holiday that brings families and friends together to remember those who have passed away and to celebrate their life.
Traditions connected with this holiday include building private altars using sugar skulls, marigolds and the favorite foods of the departed. Also possessions and reminders of loved ones are laid out. Music, poetry, drama interpretations, writing, craft-making are all welcome. Girls will connect with diversity in a multicultural world, and will feel connected to their communities, locally and globally.
