Welcome to the world of robots! Come find out how robots are built and programmed, how to design and build your own model with others, and how to share what you’ve created when earning three Girl Scout Senior and Ambassador Robotics badges! Why is robotics important? No matter what field you are interested in, chances are you’ll be dealing with robotics in some form. The more you learn about how robots work, you will find yourself better prepared to use them in the future!

Join us on Thursday, January 6, for our virtual kick-off meeting where we will introduce Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors to the three Senior and Ambassador Robotics badges and explain the activities. After the kick-off meeting, Girl Scouts will then be granted access to Google Classroom where they will complete their badge activities. The kick-off meeting will last 30 minutes. The reflection meeting will be on Thursday, January 27.

In this virtual event, badges that can earned will be:

• Badge 1: Programming Robots

• Badge 2: Designing Robots

• Badge 3: Showcasing Robots

You will be able to view and download Google Classroom information and Zoom Meeting information after you register your Girl Scout, from your MYGS account. Please do not share the information on how to join with those who have not registered.

Before this event, please take the time to review the Girl Scouts of Colorado’s Internet Safety Pledge, and then virtually sign it with your girl. As always, safety is a top priority at Girl Scouts of Colorado, and we want to ensure she is staying safe while online.

There are no refunds for this event. Badges are not included in event fee.
