STEM disciplines are fundamental in setting the foundations for future learning.  STEM education and activities play a key role in language development skills and encourages independent and collaborative learning, both of which are transferable to other subjects and situations in life.

In this STEM Know How, your Daisy Girl Scout will complete fun STEM-related activities at home, while engaging with other girls in a creative, educational environment under the guidance and encouragement of Girl Scout staff. In each session girls will complete one activity and receive ideas to continue to spark their excitement and learning in between sessions. Register your Girl Scout and she can attend all events or just pick a few sessions to attend.

Constellation Gazer

Girl Scouts will learn about the night sky, star constellations, and create their own Constellation viewers. Girl Scouts will also learn about light pollution and Colorado locations that are designated as International Dark Sky communities. Girl scouts will be encouraged to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the night sky.
