STEM disciplines are fundamental in setting the foundations for future learning.  STEM education and activities play a key role in language development skills and encourages independent and collaborative learning, both of which are transferable to other subjects and situations in life.

Join us this schoolyear for our monthly STEM Know-Hows for Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts! In each of our science sessions, Girl Scouts will complete a fun STEM-related activity using low-cost, easily accessible materials. Together, we’ll explore the natural world, blast off into space, become home kitchen chemists, and much more!

In each session girls will complete one activity and receive ideas to continue to spark their excitement and learning in between sessions. Register your Girl Scout and she can attend all events or just pick a few sessions to attend.

Blast Off with Balloon Rockets

3…2…1 Blast Off! How do rockets fly? What is aerodynamics? Get ready to learn about the three laws of motion as we construct a course and race balloon rockets.
