​Do your girls have energy to burn? Learn how to teach them fun songs and games with a Girl Scout twist. A great singing voice isn't required to teach your girls the tradition of song.

Girl Scout Wide Game

Chance to get moving and explore Girl Scout History and Traditions through a series of information and activity stations created and supported by our GSCO History Committee. ​

Orienteering

Orienteering is a family of sports that requires navigational skills using a map and compass to navigate from point to point in diverse and usually unfamiliar terrain, and normally moving at speed. Learn how to read maps and use a compass.​

Archery Sampler

Learn the basics of archery and spend some time hitting targets on the indoor archery range.

Rifle Sampler

Learn the basics of rifle shooting and spend some time shooting on the indoor rifle range.

Rock Climbing Sampler

Learn the basics of rock climbing and test your skills on the indoor rock climbing wall.

1:30 p.m - 3:00 p.m.

Daisy/Brownie 101 (1:30p to 4:35p)

Required for new troop leadership team members and strongly recommended for all volunteers working with Daisies and/or Brownies. Daisy/Brownie 101 is your ticket to a super successful troop! Connect with 100+ years of Girl Scouting experience and find the right resources to jump start the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Get hands-on with Journeys and the Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting, and learn how to plan and partner with your girls and network of support to make the troop experience meaningful and fun.

Volunteer Toolkit & New Journeys and Badges

The new journeys and badges content is available to you through the Volunteer Toolkit. Join us as we demonstrate the enhanced features of the myGS Volunteer Toolkit, while we also highlight the new journeys and badges in Outdoor Skills, Engineering, Computer Science, and Outdoor STEM. Learn how to make the most of the features in VTK to plan activities, earn badges, and complete journeys with the girls in your troop, and where to find the resources in VTK that support all that you set out to do!

Extended Trips (1:30p to 4:35p)

Is your troop ready to take the leap into travel 3 nights or longer? Learn the ends, outs and special considerations for extended travel in this interactive class. Appropriate for Junior and above Troop Leadership Team members as well as 2-3 girl representatives per troop. Required for domestic and international travel 3 or more nights in length. Prerequisite: Overnight Trips

Woodworking & Woodcarving Workshop (Additional class fee of $6 to cover supplies)

Become familiar with a variety of Woodworking tools and materials and make useful/decorative items that make nice gifts.  Designs and projects are varied but all will teach several skills. For this class we will be making a wall mounted jewelry rack and/or a presentation stand.

Opportunity for idea sharing and discussions with your peers about being a Girl Scout volunteer.

Outdoor Skills: Reach for the Peak Tickler

Now is your chance to learn more about this fun and fabulous camping skills challenge! By attending the Reach for the Peak (RftP) Tickler, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the RftP competition with demonstrations and hands-on learning. We’ll brush up on outdoor skills including: site set-up, fire building & emergency shelters.

First Aid Refresher & Badges

This class is tailor-made for Adult volunteers, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. Learn about First Aid Basics covering the treatments for cuts, burns, choking, sprains, stings, fainting, heatstroke and more. Information covered will apply towards First Aid Badges.

Self Defense

This is an introduction to Self Defense programs for Teens and Adults provided by Z-Ultimate Self Defense Studios in Greenwood Village. Regardless of age or ability, training in the martial arts can help you discover your "Ultimate" Self and opens doors for mental, physical and emotional empowerment.

Team Building Activities

Learn a variety of ice-breakers, games and exercises that you can use with your troop leadership team and girls to build team unity.

3:05 p.m - 4:35 p.m.

Art & Leatherworking Workshop (Additional class fee of $3 to cover supplies)

In a fun and relaxed 1.5 hour class, participants will learn both the Art and Leatherworking skills, focusing on the different mediums artist and craftsmen use to create their art. How to care for and treat their various mediums, and have the ability to express their creativity though the art of leatherworking. Participants will walk away with a completed project.

Event Planing Essentials

In this class, we will discuss how to create an event timeline, budget, delegation of tasks and goal setting to help you plan a successful event for your troop or Service Unit.

Troop Management...Simplified!

​Ever feel a little overwhelmed by your troop activities? Don't worry, it happens! Whether you are a new leader or have many years of experience, this class will go over best practices for simplifying your troop management. From fun ways to more efficiently manage troop meetings to keeping track of badges and projects to proven methods to deal with troop finances and money earning, you will come away from this course with ideas that you can immediately implement in your troop. Be prepared to share your own tips and tricks and to learn from both the course content and fellow attendees!

Engaging Families & Troop Agreements

Parents and guardians are part of Girl Scouting too! Share ideas and discuss how families should/can be active in your troop. And Learn how to use Troop Agreements as an effective Girl Scout tool to set expectations and build a positive troop environment.

Finding the Global in Girl Scouting

Did you know Girl Scouts are part of a growing international sisterhood with members in 146 countries? This course will introduce participants to the global world of Girl Scouting including what are World Thinking Day and WAGGGS complete with ways to introduce them to girls.

Event Planning Essentials

In this class, we will discuss how to create an event timeline, budget, delegation of tasks and goal setting to help you plan a successful event for your troop or Service Unit.

Money Earning Opportunities for Older Girls

Learn about money earning opportunities that connect with existing Girl Scouts of Colorado program. Money earning decision making and planning activities “tips and tricks” will be shared along with Fall & Cookie Sale strategies.

Knots in Action

The old saying is "If you don't know knots, tie lots!" Knowing the correct knot can make binding and un-binding things much faster and simpler. You will learn a few simple knots using the "knotman activity" that you can take back to do with your troop.
