Fun in the Sun - Greeley

Fun in the Sun - Greeley

The Fun in the Sun Summer Outreach series began in 2000 in partnership with Rodarte Cultural Center and Anna Gimmestad Memorial Park. This annual event runs mid-June to late July and provides programming for more than 200 low-resource girls, the majority of whom are Hispanic.  Girl Scouts provides bi-weekly one-hour sessions (including snacks and supplies) corresponding to weekly Fun in the Sun themes based on community input.  Sponsorships enable Fun in the Sun to be offered to all girls who want to take part free of charge.

Thanks to a lead sponsorship from CenturyLink, this year’s outreach programming will focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). CenturyLink is providing generous financial resources and volunteers to assist in the programming.  Girl Scouts of Colorado would also like to thank Wells Fargo and The Women’s Fund of Weld County for their support.

Thank you, sponsors!
